I missed this when it happened, but apparently the two guys who put up the ATHF figures in Boston were arrested and gave a press conference after the fact where they refused to talk about anything except hair.
I love it when the media is warped back on itself.
Clear Channel, sensing blood in the water, has bought the patent for Concert Recording from DiscLive. This patent in and of itself is interesting since it apparently shows no acknoledgement of prior art, of which there are literally thousands of examples.
] "We want to be artist-friendly," says Steve Simon, a Clear Channel executive vice president and the director of Instant Live. "But it is a business, and it's not going to be 'we have the patent, now everybody can use it for free.'"
I was just beginning to think that there was something worth buying in music, but this may spell the end to bootlegs, proving once again that they aren't happy until you're paying for every step you make.
