] The Moral Sense Test is a Web-based study into the nature ] of moral intuitions. How do humans, throughout the world, ] decide what is right and wrong? To answer this question, ] we have designed a series of moral dilemmas designed to ] probe the psychological mechanisms underlying our ethical ] judgments. By putting these questions on the Web, we hope ] to gain insight into the similarities and differences ] between the moral intuitions of people of different ages, ] from different cultures, with different educational ] backgrounds and religious beliefs, involved in different ] occupations and exposed to very different circumstances. ] Participation in the study is easy, quick and completely ] confidential. ] ] ] sponsored by the Primate Cognitive Neuroscience ] Laboratory, Harvard University This really does take 10 minutes, and they are eager for answers from people of all ages and cultural backgrounds. The Journey to Wild Divine is a computer journey that elevates biofeedback and video games to a higher level, said Dr. Bob Whitehouse, a psychologist certified in biofeedback, and a former Board member for the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback. Indeed, the game utilizes biofeedback in new and exciting ways. I saw this demo'd on Friday. Not a game primarily, but an interesting experience to be sure. The biofeedback device is very responsive, so you can really see the impact you are having in the world. I did several puzzles and they were genuinely solvable by controlling breathing and heartbeat. The visuals and music make for a very immersive setting. Biofeedback-Controlled Meditation Training Tool/ World/Adventure/Experience/Journey |

On August 22, 2003, Ray (Martian Chronicles) Bradbury turns 83 years old. To honor the man who has contributed so much to the world of science fiction, The Planetary Society wants to present our friend and Advisory Council member, Mr. Bradbury, with a giant birthday card - a card with "Happy Birthday" wishes from fans around the world. I went to the celebration last night for this incredible man (he has a new book of essays coming out next year!) He spoke of the impact of Mars in hislife, I am hoping to grab some links to media coverage of it to post soon. Add Your Birthday Wishes for Ray Bradbury |
