Interesting article about the 2004 trends about what is hot this year. What is interesting to me is that gold topped the list.

The contrarian in me suspects that the appearence of gold may suggest that the 3 year uptrend in gold may be coming to an end. What this means for the us dollar is not altogether clear (typically gold and the dollar move in inverse directions).
