] that residents erected on a fence along Whittier
] Boulevard days after the terrorist attacks in 2001 and
] have maintained ever since.
]
] However, although officers witnessed the vandalism
] Saturday afternoon, police did not arrest three people

] flags were,' La Habra Police Capt. John Rees said Monday.
]
] "For this to be vandalism, there had to be an ill-will
] intent,' he said.

How mobile phones and an £18m bribe trapped 9/11 mastermind
Topic: Current Events 2:02 pm EST, Mar 11, 2003

] Reporters watched a video that appeared to show Pakistani
] agents in bullet-proof vests scaling the wall of
] Mohammed's building, then handcuffing him and placing a
] black hood over his head.

okay, can you say stupid? Not only are we beating our chest about this takedown, but we're also giving the 'enemy' too much information about what we are capable of. Is not the reason why we haven't captured Bin Laden because we revealed that we had a lock on his satellite phone and he stopped using it? Does it make sense for both the Pakistani's and the US to reveal detailed information, including *video* of how our intelligence forces work?

Why is it that the press can see this stuff but we're still waiting on the 'conclusive evidence' that points to Iraq's WMD?

Topic: Current Events 2:42 pm EST, Mar  8, 2003

] A REPORT declassified by the United Nations yesterday
] contained a hidden bombshell with the revelation that
] inspectors have recently discovered an undeclared Iraqi
] drone with a wingspan of 7.45m, suggesting an illegal
] range that could threaten Iraq's neighbours with
] chemical and biological weapons.

] US officials were outraged that Hans Blix, the chief
] UN weapons inspector, did not inform the Security
] Council about the drone, or remotely piloted vehicle,
] in his oral presentation to Foreign Ministers and tried
] to bury it in a 173-page single-spaced report
] distributed later in the day. The omission raised
] serious questions about Dr Blix’s objectivity.
