Coalition for Democratic World Government

This is an interesting site to read: it would appear they (the Coalition for a Democratic World Government) intend to do good by limiting weapons of mass destruction (yay), protect the environment (yay), eliminate war and other military action (yay), uphold basic human rights (yay), and remove poverty and hunger worldwide (yay).

Unfortunately democracies do not produce those sorts of changes; rather, they produce a Bread & Circuses society that says "give me more stuph, and take it from THAT person who doesn't really need it".

But still, interesting to read and discuss.

Fox news ticker speaks out against NYC protesters
Topic: Miscellaneous 2:38 pm EDT, Apr 12, 2003

] The protesters said Fox's sentiments only proved their
] point: that media coverage, in particular among the
] television networks, is so biased as to be unbelievable.

I don't think Fox News even knows the meaning of the word "bias". Just a few days ago I watched a commentator on Fox go on a diatribe against some professor who sent in a letter saying he should be ashamed of being biased in his coverage. The warped and depraved thing about it is that if what the man on Fox News said were posted to Slashdot, it would be virtually guaranteed to be a -5 Flamebait/Troll within minutes.
