It just ties ] together so perfectly, so beautifully... I remember reading this page a few months back and thinking it was a little too crazy. Oh course, Elonka is a hell of alot smarter than I, and maybe this type of stuff makes sense. This failed attempted just enforces a quote the Author Graham Handcock once wrote: "People looking hard enough will find Shakespeare in the leaves of trees" 'Solution' to part 4 confirmed as wrong by Sanborn |

] Bound in the kind of thick, stain-proof pages usually ] employed for preschool boardbooks, this cookbook dumbs ] down basic recipes to inventive new lows. Rather ] than saute or simmer, readers are instructed to "dump" ] and "nuke" ingredients, as in a recipe for Sweet and Sour ] Meatballs, which requires a can of crushed pineapples, a ] can of sloppy joe sauce and a pound of frozen precooked ] meatballs. Other recipes not for the faint of heart ] include Slab O'Ham with Redeye Gravy (essentially ] microwaved slices of canned ham in a coffee/pork sauce ] gravy) and Hot Slam Dunk, a dip that calls for ] mayonnaise, sour cream, canned artichoke hearts, spinach ] and a few other ingredients to be microwaved together for ] several minutes. (The authors award "Extra credit" to ] those who pour the mixture into a hollowed-out loaf of ] pumpernickel.)
I bought this book for a friend recently and thought it might be interesting to some of the cooking challenged people here. It is part of a series of books by men's health that are so dummy proof that it even has pictures of the ingredients that you need to get at the grocery. It also gives you the nutritional info and helpful tips. Check it out, you can preview some of the pages on amazon. Sometimes, we need shiny pictures are simple instructions! ] Luckily, there's a solution: the FISH protocol. FISH ] implements an ftp-like interface over standard SSH. Since ] it interacts with the shell, it supports standard ] globbing constructs as well as completion. ] ] The protocol itself is fairly obscure, though. ] Apparently, it was originally developed as a virtual file ] system layer for Midnight Commander (a console-based file ] manager), but was later integrated with the Konqueror and ] Nautilus file managers, and is currently supported by the ] lftp program, too. ] ] ] Despite the fact that FISH has been around for almost six ] years at this point, it has not received widespread ] attention from either the user or security communities. ] It's probably time that both take a look at this nifty ] protocol. Meanwhile, I've found it to be an elegant, if ] obscure, solution to my file transfer needs, and would ] recommend giving it a try. FISH Protocol |
