BBC NEWS | Africa | World reaction to Libya's decision by Decius at 11:48 am EST, Dec 20, 2003 |
] Libya wants to solve all problems and we want to focus on ] development and advancing our country. This (weapons) ] programme does not benefit our people or country... We ] want to have ties with America and Britain because this ] is in the interest of our people. Saddam's capture has overshadowed two other major wins for the administration this week. The first was Iran's agreement to allow inspections of it's nuclear facilities. The second was Libya's disarmament agreement. In the wake of the Iraq war a number of our enemies have decided that opposing us is counter productive. |

Very true...or perhaps the media is catching on to what it already reported roughly three/four years ago, which is the fact that Lybia has wanted to be our buddy ever since he accidentally blew his own country up in the 80's, trying to fire a missle at "our interests." They just want average morons in the US to think that the war on terror is accomplishing something. As a result, they are dragging out old news, in new clothing, and trying to sell it to us. Wow, if I had the newswriters plotting my stories, I would have a whole channel of tightly constructed soap operas... |

We ] want to have ties with America and Britain because this ] is in the interest of our people. (from Decius) Saddam's capture has overshadowed two other major wins for the administration this week. The first was Iran's agreement to allow inspections of it's nuclear facilities. The second was Libya's disarmament agreement. In the wake of the Iraq war a number of our enemies have decided that opposing us is counter productive. Good. :) |
