This was linked from the Slashdot discussion about that RSS feed. Its worth a look. Some interesting discussion in here about how practical the bit-torrent model is when people have asymetric connections.

yeah, i did some reading about this one a while back and it appears to solve some problems for which bittorrent is unsuitable. it would make somewhat more sense perhaps to use this type of architecture over BT for the kind of RSS distribution discussed in the Yahoo article i memed earlier.

Konspire does offer a possible model for p2p distribution of content. I've used conspire a little with very mixed results. It does not deal well with behind behind NAT..

Also of note, it has a reputation system based way of ranking channel recommendations..
