Kami, the HIV-Carrying Member of Sesame Street!

The South African version of the popular children's show "Sesame Street" has introduced Kami, an upbeat and brightly colored yellow puppet who enjoys education, learning, and carrying the AIDS virus. The character was created in response to the South Africian governments attempts to remove some the social stigma associated with carrying the AIDS virus. |
