Ummm - that's the reaction that the threat of use of force is intended to provoke. The interesting thing about these allegations is that those threats actually elicited some kind of response (when the portrayal of Iraq at the time was, in essence, a stiff middle finger) that the US govt. willfully and intentionally let fall through the cracks.
