] It built fine for me on debian after I installed the
] glut-devel packages. Pretty cute.

The only way the neccesary libraries would install was if I downgraded some of my X libraries by forcing the rpm install. I wasn't willing to break X to get this thing working. :( I'm using redhat 9.
