A boat captain working to rescue sea turtles in the Gulf of Mexico says he has seen BP ships burning sea turtles and other wildlife alive.

This is going to become a textbook item in corporate PR classes.

It would be displacing the Union Carbide Bophal incident. The Exxon Valdez accident faded into memory. In fact, by the time Hazelwood was prosecuted and sentenced, most of the cleanup was complete and he had to serve his community service doing something else. On the flip side, people are still suffering from the Bophal incident, and likely will for another 100 years.

The fallout will be interesting.
