Oh, just to make this completely horrible for everyone... You do, of course, realize that basically... if they stopped the oil coming out of the well today that there would still be almost another entire month before it all shows up on various coastlines.

Anyone wanna to do a quick calculation of how many inches deep in oil every inch of shoreline from LA to DC will be just from the one point seven million gallons or so that's already in the water?

I sent an email to my brother yesterday telling him that if he's got any vacation days left that he can take in a hurry, and he ever intends to go snorkeling in the Keys again, he needs to do it like, now.
