No con envy. I was at defcon 1. I just basically think this is lame. Antenna design is a very important field. Someone with new ideas about it is NOT going to be showing them off at defcon. There are writing about them in an IEEE journal somewhere. This is a bunch of idiots going out into the desert to see who has got the biggest amplifier. It is a straight up dick length competition, to be won by the person who spent the most money on equipment. Its symptomatic of a stagnating scene. This is not the edge you are looking for.
