Lets say I build a rocket to put a satellite in space. The launch goes well but 30 seconds after takeoff my rocket explodes killing my astronaut and destroying the satellite. Could I then say that my rocket program was a success? By your scoring I can because the launch went as planned and since we are compartmentalizing who cares if one portion failed miserably.
