Yes. I have not read completely through it yet, but I'm already pretty impressed. I hope this guy gets his Harvard Degree in Rock n' Roll.. :)

] Speaking of debates, I think we need to have one about the
] academic value of spending so much time thinking deeply about
] Weezer. I doubt that even Weezer spends this much time
] thinking about Weezer.

Yes, it is a little odd. But Weezer really is a good band to use for a study like this.

The timing is odd too.. Just last week I was having a legnthy discussion with a friend of mine about Weezer.. In particular, trying to figure out why we hated Pinkerton when it first came out.. My first exposure to Weezer was The Sweater Song, which I hated with a passion, and kept be from buying the Blue album for quite awhile.. Buddy Holly brought me around enough to check out the album, which I had fallen in love with by the time I got to the third song, "Turned and Left Me Here", which may possibly be the most catchy pop song ever..

] Back in the day, (that is, the late 1990's), I saw Weezer at
] the Masquerade. It was a good show. After that tour I mostly
] tuned them out.
]
] During their 2001 tour, I went to see their live show, and
] despite my lowered expectations, I was rather underwhelmed.
] What happened?

I have yet to see Weezer live..
