Man, I don't think there's anything that will turn this administration away from a full scale engagement. Even if Saddam were to step down (which I certainly don't see happening) I would expect the warmongers to state that his infrastructure is still in place and that we needed to go clean it out. The thing that gets me is that everything about this war in the press is measured in terms of "risk of American lives lost".
