'Fire Dave!': Crowd lines up to protest Letterman's 'Late Show' Palin joke by Mike the Usurper at 5:54 pm EDT, Jun 16, 2009 |
An apology from David Letterman was good enough for Sarah Palin - but not for protesters who demanded the late night host's dismissal Tuesday at a Broadway demonstration.
Note to CBS. None of these people watch Dave anyway, so to hell with 'em. |

It was between Letterman and Palin. Letterman apologized, Palin accepted, end of story. Kind of funny though how the apology didn't come until Embassy Suites dropped their advertising. Guess he didn't want a repeat of the Imus treatment. |

Well, the problem isn't with the advertisers. The problem is with those sniping ultra-conservative republican bitches (for lack of more accurate words) who are very upset that Ms. Palin's family was being made fun of. There's one particularly rabid New Yorker broadcast here on 99.7 WTN who's of that stripe, and a few nights ago he spent five minutes talking about how horrible and unthinkable it was that Letterman was making "jokes about rape" (his words!) on his show before playing the clip of the joke--which was rather obviously not about rape--and then went on to bitch about it some more. Kind of surreal since it felt like he was hearing an entirely different recording than the one played. If you do anything that might be perceived as lessening their reputation, you'll become their instant political enemy. Same yankee asshat was also carping last night about wanting Letterman fired. |

For the life of me, I don't know why she didn't just let it go. It was a joke, it was a bit funny, you're in the public spotlight, people will make jokes. Palin is wanting more press, and people are giving it to her. Gah, I hate her. If SHE gets elected, hope no one in Denmark draws a cartoon picture of her daughter. |
