Freddie Mac Official Dead in Apparent Suicide - washingtonpost.com
by dc0de at 9:21 am EDT, Apr 22, 2009

The acting chief financial officer of troubled mortgage giant Freddie Mac was found dead in his Fairfax County home early this morning after apparently committing suicide, Fairfax police said.

Ok, time to crank up the conspiracy engines... I can't wait to see the coroner's report on this "apparent suicide".

Oh I don't think he was murdered. Straight up dismay at exactly how deeply fucked we are is probably enough to do it, and he is close enough to the whole thing to have been personally responsible for a lot of it. This isn't the first executive suicide during this crisis, but its probably the closest to the epicenter. Tragic really - its better to be poor than dead.

Thought this was interesting:

A neighbor tells WTOP a security guard was posted - apparently as a precaution - outside the Kellermann home for "a few days" earlier this month, after Fannie Mae disclosed the names of executives in line for bonuses.
