White House Watermelon Email From California Mayor Dean Grose Inspires Outrage by Mike the Usurper at 5:59 pm EST, Feb 25, 2009 |
Grose confirmed to the AP that he sent the e-mail to Price and said he didn't mean to offend her. He said he was unaware of the racial stereotype that black people like watermelons.
I know there are stupid people out there, but where did he get the picutre from? Sorry, I don't buy the non-pology. |

Oh that is ridiculous. "didn't know about blacks and watermelons stereotype" - Where's SHE been living? Why send the picture then? I got that stupid email from an older relative that MEANT it to be racial. There's a lot of that crap going around, and this relative of mine sends ALL of them to me....he's an octogenarian from the rural south so I don't do anything but hit the delete button...bit first I notice all the TOs on it are the same ones sending all the republican rants. Which is sad, to me, b/c I like the Republicans idea of small govt. and fiscal conservatism. If they could progress their social attitudes out of 1850 I might even vote for them. |
