Calls to Action:
Essays and research supporting the idea that global warming poses a clear threat to humanity, that it is largely caused by human activity, and that solutions to the problems of climate change lie within human reach.
Dissenting Voices:
Essays and research challenging the view that the world warming that began around 1880 is caused by human activity, that it poses a serious threat, or that the vagaries of earth’s climate are within human control.
This is where I've been getting my fix for the past few weeks. Pro's and Con's site, simple to navigate, and current. Can't beat that.
I simply look at the weather... it's colder this winter... not warmer.
"Next in line please..."
Please tell me that you're not using that as a basis for saying that there's not global climate change, cuz that would be quite ignorant, or maybe I'm just missing the sarcasm?
You'd be missing the sarcasm... and, well, I'm simply tired of the moneygrubbers out there trying to grab grants, funds, and do "research" on this topic, while it's taking money away from programs like teaching our children music, or having sports/gym in school...
It's a travesty, and based on an abject fear of extinction. If we're not supposed to survive as a race, nothing we can do about it makes a difference.
It's like getting upset because we has a "near miss" from a giant asteroid a month or so ago... We couldn't have done anything about it, so why get so upset?
The planet is self correcting... the question is, "When the planet corrects it's global climate, is that correction suitable to sustain human life?" To which, I don't really care.
Oh, and can we please have tags?
If we built our societies in ways that are going to be devastated because of our lack of vision or refusal to accept those consequences, well... then we deserve to die out. Oh wait... there's nothing like that going on right now.
