Supreme Court Says Evidence Is Valid Despite Police Error - NYTimes.com
by janelane at 12:33 pm EST, Jan 14, 2009

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that evidence found after an arrest based on incorrect information from police files may be used against a criminal suspect.

The constitution takes another hit. This is yet further example of the "trust us, we're in positions of power/authority" mentality that is pervasive throughout this administration and at the root of our current environmental/economic/justice problems.

Its also an example of Supreme Court Justices who are so out of touch with the real world that they don't think clerical errors involving computer databases are a systemic problem that ought to be deterred!
