I think this is the most important part of an inaugural speech. Let's get the elephant in the room on the table. NOW! Level with us. We can't do everything you promised. We get it. We're broken. What are we going to fix? How? And tell us what we need to do to fix it. That will unify us like nothing else since 9/11 and we can use that energy to get a lot of important things done. Just do it. Don't talk about "reaching across the aisle" or "making bridges to change". Don't sugar coat it. Be blunt. Be real. Just get it out there. NOW! Clear. Truthful. RE: The World That Awaits |
