Sarah Palin talks about Bush Doctrine by Dagmar at 12:55 am EDT, Sep 12, 2008 |
Not only is she somewhat incoherent at times, she's clearly all for invading anywhere she damn well feels like. So, are we ready to start seriously campaigning for Obama, or at least putting up signs that say "OH GOD ANYONE BUT MCCAIN" yet? |

She sounds like a nincompoop. Charlie Gibson is having to explain foreign policy to her... he sounds more qualified for the VP position than her. Charlie Gibson for VP! |

Sorry no. If you listen to Charlie's explanation of the Bush Doctrine, he gets it wrong. The Bush Doctrine is PREVENTATIVE war, not preemptive. Preemption has been accepted for a very long time. Preventative is a whole 'nother story. |

I believe he used a different word as well though, 'anticipatory self-defense'. Which sounds more like the Bush doctrine than a simple pre-emptive strike. |

GIBSON: The Bush doctrine, as I understand it, is that we have the right of anticipatory self-defense, that we have the right to a preemptive strike against any other country that we think is going to attack us. Do you agree with that? Given that incorrect description, well, you see the results. |

He's close, and the phrase 'anticipatory self-defense' is a lot closer than anything she could muster. He flubbed the explanation a bit, but she'd never heard of it. She's never thought about a rationale for invasion. |

What if they really just already knew how f'ed up she was, but how appealing to christians? So they pull her in, get the CHristian right, everyone gets in the McCain camp, then she drops out, and McCain ends with Lieberman on his ticket? Or maybe Matt Damon has it right, it is just a bad Disney movie. |

Not only is she somewhat incoherent at times, she's clearly all for invading anywhere she damn well feels like. So, are we ready to start seriously campaigning for Obama, or at least putting up signs that say "OH GOD ANYONE BUT MCCAIN" yet? This is almost painful for me to watch and I don't even like her. She doesn't have a clue what is meant by the Bush Doctrine but she won't admit it. Yet it is evident. She keeps using his name, Charlie, Charlie, Charlie. People like it when you use their names. Someone has told her this. She didn't use my name though, so I still hate her. |
