I don't really think the left opposes censorship as a principal. Freedom of Speech is this odd idea that sits in the moderate/libertarian realm, opposed by Christians, Soccer Moms, and Socialists alike. In fact, on a fundamental level, the left believes that civil liberties only apply to them and people they like. The whole campaign to fight "corporate personhood" really translates into an effort to strip the right to freedom of speech from the wrong speakers -- when you point out that some of their favorite non profits and leftist publishing houses are corporations it quickly becomes clear that they really just mean that rich people shouldn't have the same political rights that they have.

In general, my experience has also been that the more radical a group is, the more difficult they are to reason with. A quick way to get ejected is to express a critical thought about their ideals. Thats true of both liberal and conservative radicals.

BTW, it used to be the case that posts on MemeStreams could only be made once, and if you subsequently went back and forwarded a post to more people, it wouldn't show up again in your MemeStream. This isn't the case anymore. You're now allowed to post a link multiple times. However, the downside of that, is everytime you click "Post it" without unchecking "Post to my MemeStream" you post to your MemeSteam.

When I get a chance I'll got in and make sure that box is off by default when you click "Recommend" in your own blog.
