Construction and cats
by Acidus at 10:28 am EDT, Jul 17, 2008

Today I'm having a fence installed. This process has taught me 2 things:

1- I have become a grumpy old man.
2- Cats are fascinated by concrete mixers. Like, unhealthily fascinated.

Ok, you just can't say those things and not provide some more detail... that's just a humorous set of stories waiting to be told!

Acidus and I have had it up to *here* with punk kids cutting through our yard. When you've got 2/3 of an acre and yet people are 5 feet from your back windows, you tend to get a little ticked off. Especially when it's a bunch of insolent preteens who tell you to go fuck yourself in not so many words when you ask them to stop. Damn kids, stay out of our yard! Alas, except in Texas, you can't put in booby traps, barbed wire, or monkeys with lasers on their heads. You can, however, make it a lot harder on them by putting in a 6' tall privacy fence. :-)

The cats are just not all that bright...they could care less when other cats come in the yard, but people installing the fence are obviously the enemy.

Why are you having a fence installed? Did your community madate that sex offenders do such a thing?

All cats are nice.
