This is the first time I've seen Google drop a beta that I wasn't pleased with. It's only been a day, and since some people can't handle the idea of porn being on the Internet, they've disabled the gadget objects that were allowing you to skin them with an external URL. This means there's a bunch of piddling I did on there last night which has now been replaced by black tiling (so it's been removed until it can be done correctly again). ...so there's a "#SE2600" on there, and it doesn't look half bad, but that brings me to the other thing I don't care for: No content creation. There's some jibbering in Lively help about "trusted partners" being allowed to create content which to me says "People who aren't you". The interface also lags like a tortoise when you've got the inventory pop-out up, so if you're wondering why it is slow as hell, close that pop-out. Also, only Win32 for now, which is just irksome.
