"PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (AP) -- A federal judge threw out the death sentence of Mumia Abu-Jamal on Tuesday, ruling that the former journalist and Black Panther is entitled to a new sentencing hearing for killing a Philadelphia police officer in 1981. " I refuse to have an "opinion" on Abu-Jamal's guilt, but he certainly is a compelling writer. | |||
