Yes, I know, and I had already noted that above. :) I'm asking which distro we (Nashville 2600) should use, were we to copy their contest at PhreakNIC. Most Linux users seem to prefer Ubuntu these days, but if someone thinks Debian or another distro would be harder to hack, then that might be a better choice. There might not be any interest, because we already have the WiFi Race and Root Warz, plus something similar might've been done in years past at PhreakNIC. I just like the idea of directly comparing the various operating systems in a hostile environment.
I'd Shoot for all the Major distros: Ubuntu, FreeBSD, Solaris, WinXP, WinVista, Win2003, OS X, SuSE Essentially the ones in Mainstream, the ones businesses use the most. RE: Mac and Vista SP1 down, Linux still rocking |
