Clinton vs. McCain: McCain

I'm not aware of any independents who could have the influence that Ross Perot and Ralph Nader have had in previous elections. Even if Nader were to run again, I doubt that he could draw the attention that he used to. The Greens and Libertarians (sadly) won't draw much attention, either.
