This place attempts to recreate ancient mexican food, borrowing dishes from Aztec and Mayan traditions. Although I haven't sampled the worms, grasshoppers and fly eggs, I'm sure they are great because everything else here is amazing. This is the best Mexican food I have ever had. Located just off the Zocalo in Mexico City, this place is my favorite restaurant world wide. The tequila is the bomb. Maestro Tequilero. Smoothest I've ever had, and served with a home brewed bloody mary mix and a strange sauce concoction in a hollowed out cucumber, salted and spiced around the rim. |
