Wonkette is claiming that this entire think tank has vanished of the Internet. That isn't true. They also conjecture that Woolsey must have used his CIA connections to get this document pulled out of Google's cache. That sounds just a few shades from talk of space aliens. I certainly don't take "Family Security Matters" seriously but I think they'd have the presence of mind not to openly call for a military overthrow of the Unites States Government. Without some evidence that this actually was written by the referenced author and actually posted on the website in question I have to say that occam's razor suggests an internet hoax.
Sorry Tom, but no. When the freeprs are jumping on it too (here) then no. Occam's razor means the simplest solution is usually correct, except of course when the simplest solution is, this guy really is that big a whack job, and the people involved want to now put as much distance as possible between them and him, because if they do not, they're whack jobs by association. Since the methodology of the right is to denounce their enemies and cover up their own malfeasance, it also fits right in with their standard MO, again making it the simplest solution, and fulfilling Occam's razor in a very screwed up way. Which is more likely, he did it and they tried to bury it, or it was invented, the FSM website got fiddled with to show a blank, but not error page, Google cashing has the pointers, the freeprs got sucked in by a left wing hoax, etc. No, the simplest solution is, he did it and it got yanked.
