The iPhone hacking community has come a long in the couple months since the iPhone was released, under extensibility lockdown. Not only can you now get an iPhone “out of jail”, there are a growing set of useful native applications.

It turns out one of the things the iPhone does really well is record podcasts. The combination of the adaptive multi-rate format, the iPhone speakerphone, and ad hoc recording scenarios produces a suprisingly solid outcome when combined with the freely available Levelator tool.
