I wanted to post the entire first chapter, as a way to generate discussion on the reasons WHY Mitnick got villified and railroaded, but unfortunetly, the Memestream engine barfed on the size of the post and told me it couldn't handle 36K of text. Perhaps an example of using the wrong tool for the right job? |

Its really there to prevent a post-bomb, which is the scenario where someone posts a variable of infinite length to crash the server. I think it could be made much longer. This is the first time anyone has ever hit the limit. The thing is that Mitnick's chapter is SO long that it is a little unwieldy as a MemeStreams article. I think what you should do is recommend the actual link to the chapter with YOUR thoughs about the incident. This may spark some conversation. |

The first chapter of hacker Kevin Mitnick's new book was omitted from the print version by the publisher. It mysteriously showed up online over the weekend. |
