Jill and I are starting to shop for a house. Having lived in a house with a scary basement including a room we affectionately deemed "the murdered children room"* this comic presents a very real and legitimate fear. * - 6x5 room, covered with falling down acoustic tiles, drain in the floor, no windows, and it locked from the outside... Seriously, that basement was freaky. Ask anybody. |

I had a buddy in college that lived in a house with a room like that. He aggravated the situation by placing a dentist chair in there. |

Yes, a spectral bride can be pretty unnerving, but for the most part, they keep to themselves. What you really need to be worried about is the more cliche, but far more dangerous, indian burial ground, killing fields or prior site for demonic rituals. You *really* don't want a portal to the 5th ring of hades to open up while you're feeding the cats... * - 6x5 room, covered with falling down acoustic tiles, drain in the floor, no windows, and it locked from the outside... It's true, that house was tailor made for a fucking psychopath. Didn't the laundry room just sort of open to the dirt beneath the house? Like, "Washing machine, check. Closet, check. Place to bury the bodies of the children from the other room, check. Wait, what did I say???" |

That room was rather creepy. In thinking about it I would like to give the former owners the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was employed as a butcher. See...... now that works out well for my nightmares :) |
