Yes, demagnetize the country, and illegal aliens won't have reasons to stay, or to come here illegally in the first place. Give employers a quick and reliable way to check on a person's legal status, and if employers hire illegals, harshly penalize those employers. Also, we shouldn’t give driver's licenses or welfare services to illegals. If they can't make money here, most of them will go back home. We'll deport the rest.
Anything short of that, and we might as well adopt an open border policy and be done with it. Unfortunately, corrupt and/or ignorant politicians on both sides continue to fail to address the problem logically, but at least the good guys stopped that horrible bill. No bill that grants amnesty should be allowed to see the light of day. Tragedies like the Joycelyn Gardiner fatality are happening far too often. By the way, how is an illegal alien able to afford a Ford Expedition, when he's supposedly doing a job so low-paying that American citizens won't do it? Oh, that’s right, he’s a career criminal.
Amen.
