Leaving out any kind of actual research, that video looks like a giant hoax to me. I mean, I could spin together a nice tale about the Casimir Effect, Zero Point Energy, Magnetic Monopoles and Tesla Waves "opening a keyway into other areas of spacetime." Shit, I probably did back when I was in tech support... "I'm sorry ma'am, the computer won't work because, ah, the magnetic monopoles aren't properly aligned due to a change in solar flux." Anyone who already has a serious id-10t problem isn't going to call you on it. This dude's aiming higher, but i still don't see much of anything going on. I'm not saying for sure it's bullshit, but my recollection of the Casimir effect from when I got my physics degree doesn't seem to support what this dude's got going. Making metal objects slide around is something I've been doing since the day i discovered magnetism in the region surrounding The Fridge, back when the kitchen was a substantial percentage of my universe. I have enough faith in science and the system that if something truly novel was happening here *someone* would've taken him seriously by now. Garage inventors and scientists who make genuine advances do certainly exist, but it's hard to believe that the real ones don't bubble up eventually. UPDATE from wikipedia : Apparently the government stole it and gave it to lockheed. I'm now totally convinced. Not really. |
