But now that I think about it for a second, it makes sense that the evening news is a staple in people's routine. For one, it's incredibly rhythmic and trance like, which would calm people and provide a very comfortable and consistent experience. Much like a warm blanket.

You know if the Director saw this, he'd start having the lighting guys move things around for fun.
