Mars and Back
Day 206
Captain Nowak was in love ...William was just dreamy...she hated Colleen...somehow she had to get even

NASA’s process for monitoring the physical and mental health of its Astronaut Corps is sound, despite the stunning arrest of spaceflyer and mission specialist Lisa Nowak this week, a former NASA psychiatrist said Wednesday.

psychology just isn't terribly predictive
there may well be more known and unknown unknowns than in any other science
since we can't reliably predict the weather accurately more than a week in advance and the weather is generated by systems and rules we almost completely understand then what makes anybody think that human behaviour is more predictable than that
it's all based on psychometrics and psychometrics is guesswork and assumptions with a statistical veneer
Organisations like NASA buy into it because psychometrics is better than nothing but don't let anybody fool you that it is a precise science
anybody want to buy some snake oil? (unfair I know but less unfair than many may suppose)
