Why, of being afraid That’s what terror means, doesn’t it? That’s what it used to mean The end of an empire is messy at best And this empire is ending Like all the rest Like the Spanish Armada adrift on the sea We’re adrift in the land of the brave And the home of the free Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.
In following your memes for the past two days... I look forward to hearing the recorded song... However, I should point out that some people give up way too easily. If the US is going to cede it's national identity to someone, who? The fundamentalist Christians? They have already proven they do not have the capacity to manage power at scale. It's just another interest, and an interest with very low critical value for reasoning at that.. I think the juxtaposition between the ideas of the fundamental Christians and Islamists is actually useful. Could you create a better example of one side of a culture war? Some people see disaster. I see our problems being clearly laid out before us.. That's better then being obtuse and esoteric. Sometimes it's necessary to make a mistake in order to learn. Nations are not exempt from that axiom. The current crop of ideologues is having their day. That day ends like any other. RE: State of the Union: Another Take |
