First of all, to make an issue of the Church of Scientology "coming" to Clearwater is like saying "Yale comes to Connecticut." The Church of Scientology's headquarters in Clearwater have been there for four decades at least, so this is a complete non-story. Secondly, Mark Bunker is part of a small bunch of anti-religion haters whose purpose is to harrass the Church of Scientology with lawsuits. Hardly a non-biases source. Third, Bunker's information is, well, bunk. The Church of Scientology does a lot of good in the local community. Bunker twists everyhing around to make it seem sinister or weird. The fact that off-duty cops get hired as security, for example: there is nothing unusual or strange about this. The truth about the Church of Scientology is much simpler. A small new philosophy was founded in 1954 and defied the established Big Pharma industry with the premise that people don't need drugs to get better, that people can help themselves improve their lives and the lives of others. From that point on, Scientology has been attacked in the media by the dogs of Big Pharma. See http://www.cchr.org for more info.
