Justice Recalls Treats Laced With Poison - New York Times
by Mike the Usurper at 5:26 pm EST, Nov 17, 2006

Each contained a typewritten letter stating either, “I am going to kill you,” or, “We are going to kill you,” and adding, “This is poisoned.”

And now for the moron of the month award...

What's moronic about it? It clearly stated that the contents were poisoned and that eating them would kill the receiver. IANAL, but I would think that you could make a case that this was a protest, not a murder attempt. How's it any different than burning an effigy?
