More from the world of GOP scumbaggery (althouth this time it's more like buggery). The speaker and majority leader both knew for months that Foley was trying to make the page pool into his own personal stable of altar boys, but it seems they decided telling him to knock it off was enough. These are the people running the government. It's more than past time for regime change.
in my country 16 is considered underage i think that's wrong i see no reason way there should be a difference and that 16 should be the age of consent as it is for hetrosexuals. The law should not discriminate. Assuming Foley is gay then I think it would be better for him as a person to be open about it and then as a politician whether of left or right to promote civil liberties. The GOP is a diseased canker on the body politic only partly because of its attitude to homosexuality - they are like good old fashioned Victorian hypocrites "We'll hush it up if it's a member of the club and loudly condemn and persecute anyone who doesn't belong" Oscar Wilde would have recognised them edit it was 3am and i'd just come in a bit drunk when i wrote the above and couldn't remember UK law 16 is the legal age of consent for both hetrosexuals and homosexuals in the UK |
