This sounds similar to the situation LiveJournal experienced last year. Their datacenter provider (Internap) is Tier 1, but they still had some excellent power losses. Redundant data centers is really the way to go, but neither cheap nor easy. RE: Anatomy of a Datacenter Disaster |
