Peacock Romances English Gas Pump
One-Sided Affair Goes On For Years

BRIERLEY, England -- A confused peacock has ruffled feathers in an English village by falling in love with a gas pump.

The peacock, called "Mr. P.," spends all day at the local gas station in Brierley, strutting his stuff in an elaborate mating ritual.

Locals said the one-sided love affair has been going on for several years.

Every morning during the spring mating season, Mr. P. leaves his home and walks down a track toward the garage."
