ISP snooping gaining support | CNET News.com by Rattle at 7:31 pm EDT, Apr 14, 2006 |
The explosive idea of forcing Internet providers to record their customers' online activities for future police access is gaining ground in state capitols and in Washington, D.C. Top Bush administration officials have endorsed the concept, and some members of the U.S. Congress have said federal legislation is needed to aid law enforcement investigations into child pornography. A bill is already pending in the Colorado State Senate.
Youch! I think the sheep are primed and ready for this step. This follows the line we have been singing for awhile now. When the draconian shit starts happening, its going to be done in the name of "protecting the children". |

Absolutely - It is ALREADY happening. Just look at DFCS. It is a way for the government to gain access to your home for illegal search all in the name of protecting the children. You can insist on a warrant, you can refuse to cooperate, but then they take your kids! You really have NO choice, and then there's no normal legal or constitutional protections in place. You are innocent until proven guilty. Watching the way that DFCS worked in the Jackson Bortz case, (www.savejacksonbortz.com) really opened my eyes to exactly how intrusive the government is getting in the name of "Saving the CHildren." 70% of all cases they "Investigate" are UNSUBSTANTIATED. This pink ribbon lady mindset is incredibly dangerous to our few remaining civil liberties. |
