There's nothing newsworthy in this rehash of an article, but did you know that VeriSign sells surveillance equipment and "all-in-one" surveillance services to the carriers? I hadn't known that.

Clearly no one reads my memestream...

Perhaps it is a problem that the same vendor has:
1. The ability to spoof most SSL certs.
2. The ability to manipulate a large part of the DNS system.
3. The world's largest surveillance business.
