I've already found two that are older, uga.edu was registered 14-Mar-1988 and mit.edu was registered 23-May-1985. I bet a lot of the big .edus are some of the oldest domains.

UIUC.EDU: 18-Jul-1985

UCSD.EDU was registered 09-Dec-1985, which is interesting considering it was one of the two root nodes of the ARPANET
(in 1969).
