CNN.com - Colombia to offer one-hour divorces - Sep 27, 2005 by janelane at 3:12 pm EDT, Sep 27, 2005 |
BOGOTA, Colombia (AP) -- A new Colombian law would allow married couples to untie the knot in as little as one hour and for a mere $15, bypassing costly lawyer fees, legal hurdles and the prolonged delays most unhappy couples can expect before a divorce.
Sanctity of marriage THIS, G.W.! -janelane, sanctified |

This is horrible, wtf. If you don't think you can live with someone forever, you shouldn't get married in the first place. |

Moreover, if you decide within an hour that you can't live with them any longer, you shouldn't have gotten married in the first place. Forever is an awful long time not to expect some disease, trampy mid-life crisis, or family tragedy to take place. But, c'mon, a freaking hour?! -janelane, horrified |
