Gov. Sonny Perdue has asked public schools around the state to cancel classes on Monday and Tuesday of next week, an effort to conserve gasoline supplies.

Education last... man, have we got our priorities straight!
We'll, GA already has like the worst or second worst education system in the country - so the kids are already dumb no real loss. However, how the hell is this supposed to save a bunch of gas - now parents have to make extra trips in their cars to drop the kids off at daycare or a relatives house, etc - and then pick them up. I don't see the logic here in how this is supposed to help. If it does, awesome/great... but will it? |
